Tornatore Etna Rosso Red Blend 2022

About This Wine

Tornatore's Etna Rosso showcases the distinctive character of Mount Etna's volcanic terroir through its primary varietal, Nerello Mascalese, with supporting Nerello Cappuccio. The wine presents an elegant aromatic profile reminiscent of fine Burgundy, opening with delicate red berry notes—strawberry and cherry—layered with subtle floral and herbal undertones. On the palate, bright acidity and refined tannins create a structured framework, while the finish reveals the wine's signature volcanic minerality: a flinty, saline complexity that defines Etna's finest expressions. Cultivated on the slopes of Europe's most active volcano, the grapes benefit from mineral-rich volcanic soils and high-altitude conditions that encourage slow ripening and preserve natural acidity. The result is a wine of remarkable freshness and aromatic intensity, with the tension and depth that distinguish Mount Etna's offerings from other regions.
