Far Niente Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Far Niente Winery is located in Oakville, California an area that is quintessential for Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Oakville is also home to their Martin Stelling Vineyard from which the winery has been producing Cabernets since 1982. The wine opens with aromas of mixed berry fruit, boysenberry, chocolate covered cherries, layered with hints of graphite and toasted oak. This wine is focused and silky through the mid-palate, building to a finish with broad tannins and notes of cedar and toasted oak, culminating from the marrying of fruit from Calistoga, Oak Knoll, Diamond Mountain, Stags Leap, St. Helena and Yountville with estate-grown fruit from Martin Stelling Vineyard.

Wine Enthusiast Magazine awarded this a Cellar Selection and scored it 96 points saying "With a slight nose of reduction, this wine offers grippy tannin and sizable oak. Blueberry, currant, cedar and sage give it an elegance and classic structure of understated power, finishing in notes of tobacco and clove."
