From The Winemaker

The 2019 Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon was shaped by a near-ideal growing season that combined structure with precision. Generous winter rains revitalized the soils, while an unusually cool February delayed bud break and bloom—the latest since 2012—allowing for slow, even vine development. A cool, wet spring supported pristine canopy health, setting a strong foundation for the season ahead. As summer unfolded, moderate vine stress encouraged deep phenolic development, and warm, dry conditions ensured a smooth, even veraison across the vineyard. Harvest began on September 23rd in the alluvial fan and concluded with hillside fruit on October 3rd, reflecting a measured, parcel-by-parcel approach. The result is a Cabernet Sauvignon of striking balance—layered, concentrated, and refined—capturing both the precision of the vintage and the singular character of Eisele’s terroir.

100 points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"Deep purple-black in color, the nose of the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon slowly unfurls to reveal a gorgeous perfume of violets and roses over a core of kirsch, boysenberries and cassis, plus hints of redcurrant jelly and menthol, emerging into wafts of pencil lead and truffles. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is built like a brick house, featuring very firm, wonderfully ripe, grainy tannins and bold freshness to support the vivacious, tightly wound black and red fruit layers, finishing long and mineral laced. It's a stunning, evocative, singular wine that so beautifully captures the long, slow-maturing grace of the 2019 vintage."

100 points, James Suckling

"This is sophisticated and intellectual, with an incredible wall of fine tannins that take you deep down into the soul of the wine. Full-to medium-bodied, tight and soulful. Tar, ash and volcanic-soil flavors. White pepper, too. Great length. Shows the first-growth quality of the vineyards, harking back to the wines of the mid-1970s. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. This needs at least six to seven years of bottle age. Best after 2028."

100 points, Jeb Dunnuck

"I was also able to taste the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, which is an utterly classic Napa Cabernet with its layered, expansive mouthfeel and majestic style. Red and black currants, savory herbs, tobacco, new leather, and pressed roses all define the aromatics, and it's full-bodied, with a deep, layered mouthfeel, an incredible salinity and minerality, and a gorgeous finish. It's pure class and elegance married with incredible Napa fruit. As with many 2019s, it already offers pleasure yet this should benefit from 3-5 years of bottle age and I wouldn t be surprised to see it evolve for 30+ years."
