Château Lalande is a historic, unclassified estate in the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation, highly regarded for delivering classified-growth quality at a more modest price.
The estate is currently run by the third generation of the Meffre family: the dynamic brothers, Ludovic and Julien Meffre. They took the helm at the beginning of the 21st century and have injected new energy and modern technology into the classic property.
Tasting Notes
A richly-hued dry red made from equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Soils of gravel and pebbles, the cooling effects of the Gironde, and 30 year-old vines make for a supple red with refined tannins, dark fruit, cocoa, and sweet spice. Pair with beef and carrot stew.
