Booker Perl Red Blend


This inaugural vintage of PERL is a blend of Syrah (91%) and Grenache (9%) that comes predominantly from the Booker estate, with contributions from two of our favorite westside sites: Catapult and Moonsprings. The individual lots were destemmed, fermented in stainless steel and aged in 50 percent new French oak barrels. It has aromas of cured meat, black olive, black pepper, graphite and clove reveal undertones of violets and raspberry coulis. On the palate, it has a full, round, mouth-coating of lushness that is framed by assertive gravelly tannins, all unfolding into a long, lingering finish.
