The 2021 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep, rich, and powerful wine with a notable dark ruby/plum hue. It presents a Pauillac-like nose featuring aromas of blackcurrants, scorched earth, graphite, and lead pencil notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and incredibly concentrated, exhibiting the classic firm tannic structure characteristic of Howell Mountain Cabernet. The wine offers a long and gorgeous finish, suggesting excellent aging potential. It's a wine with remarkable density, balanced by a vibrant mix of tart red berries and black cherries, evolving to reveal layers of sagebrush, cedarwood, and warm brown spices. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged for up to 32 months in 100% new French oak.
