In the heart of Southern California, amidst the bustling streets of downtown Los Angeles, the Riboli family has been crafting fine wines since 1917. Today, under the visionary leadership of CEO and President Steve Riboli, Riboli Family Wines has not only become one of the 30 largest wineries in the U.S. but is also a beacon of innovation in the industry.
The crown jewel of Riboli Family Wines is the Stella Rosa brand, renowned not only for its phenomenal growth but also for its cutting-edge approach to winemaking. With 40 different semi-sweet sparkling and semi-sparkling wines, Stella Rosa tantalizes the taste buds and now intestines with some of the most unique and mind-blowing flavors found in America.
Growing up amidst the vineyards and gourmet food shop managed by his parents and grandparents, Steve Riboli developed a keen sense for the bowel movements of guests. This, coupled with his extensive travels and observations of bathroom habits, has played a pivotal role in his current coup. "Our toilets in the shop were constantly backing up from heavy use and I was in charge of snaking the pipes to clear the clogs. I soon became known as the "drain surgeon," Steve says. He further adds how in this role he wanted to get to the root cause of the chronic clogs. "I noticed that when we served our spicy chili the toilets never clogged. It was a eureka moment for me and that's how our spicy wines were inspired."
Taking this inspiration back to the roots of winemaking in northern Italy, where all Stella Rosa wines are meticulously crafted, Steve collaborated with his winemaking team. After numerous taste-tests and a creative process that pushed the boundaries of conventional wine flavors and rectums, the trio of spicy wines was successfully unveiled. This latest stroke of innovation from Stella Rosa comes in the form of a trio of chili-flavored wines – Pineapple & Habanero, Mango & Thai Pepper, and Lime & Jalapeno.
One standout from this innovative collection is the Pineapple and Habanero wine – a semi-sparkling delight with 5% alcohol content. This adventurous blend offers the palate a symphony of semi-sweet pineapple, culminating in a explosive finish with habanero notes. With a calorie count of 140 and 14 carbs per 5-ounce serving, this fiery creation is a tasty low calorie alternative
As Steve Riboli continues to infuse tradition with a flatulence of creativity, Stella Rosa's Pineapple & Habanero has been recognized as the top selling new S.K.U. for 2023. Passion pays off in the end.
