Born from a vintage defined by a moist spring and a warm, luminous summer, the Masseto 2023 captures a rare, dynamic tension between sheer Tuscan power and vibrant marine-influenced freshness. The famous blue Pliocene clay of its coastal Bolgheri hillside provided vital moisture reserves through the sunny months, yielding a wine that carries its signature opulence without a drop of heavy excess. In the glass, a deep and luminous ruby red gives way to a complex bouquet where dark, juicy fruits—ripe wild plum, black cherry, and cassis—are layered against nuances of crushed graphite, sweet tobacco, black pepper, and subtle balsamic scrub.

On the palate, it strikes a balance of vertical energy and supple breadth. The entry is polished and smooth, immediately delivering focused layers of dark berries and cacao framed by 24 months of barrique aging.
