The Unforgettable Wine List of a 2014 Dinner Hosted by Jeffrey Epstein: A Deeper Look

on September 17, 2023

Recent reports from The Wall Street Journal and the New York Times, as well as court filings in a U.S. Virgin Islands lawsuit, have unveiled more prominent people linked to Jeffrey Epstein. Surprisingly, these connections weren't known before, as they weren't in Epstein's famous contact book or flight logs before his jail death in 2019.

These reports also reveal closer ties between Epstein and some well-known individuals he had previously been associated with. They show how often Epstein met with his high-profile associates.  For example, The Wall Street Journal examined just one day, September 8, 2014, and discovered that Epstein had meetings scheduled with four extremely wealthy men: Bill Gates, Leon Black, Thomas Pritzker, and Mortimer Zuckerman. Interestingly, a partial wine list was found among the calendar entries for a dinner hosted by Epstein on the same day. However, the document lacks information about who attended the dinner or what was served.  It did contain sections for "Welcome Reception" and "Appetizers" and the list follows.

We are publishing the list to emphasize the need for further investigation into Epstein's extensive dealings, especially considering his connections with influential assholes from various backgrounds.

But what made the Cabrera gift stand out was how it diverged from the norm of players often being gifted Rolex watches from teams and teammates.   But Cabrera plays for the Tigers so it is likely that his team will be gifting the legend something more befitting of his stature in baseball history.   As for the bottle of Caymus he likely left in the opposing team's dugout after the game, here's hoping it finds its way back to the individual in the Athletics' front office who hatched this brilliance.
