About This Wine
This 2017 vintage boasts a fantastic nose of ginseng, dried apricots, yellow plums, brown sugar, honey, lemons, and tangerine peel. Its honeyed and smooth texture is complemented by layers of dried fruit and subtle earthy undertones. Boasting excellent balance and freshness, this wine contains 65% furmint, 30% harslevelu, and small amounts of other varieties. It is delicious now, but can also be held for aging. The Royal Tokaji Aszu 5 Puttonyos Red Label offers an intense nose with fruity and spicy notes, as well as a great structure and vibrant freshness. Its flavors of white peach and ripe plums create a perfect balance of richness and crisp acidity, leading to a long, satisfying finish. For optimal enjoyment, serve slightly chilled (50 to 54 degrees) in a small port glass or similar vessel. Each bottle contains approximately eight two-ounce servings.
