The Signorello "Edge" Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 is a highly-rated and accessible Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma County's Alexander Valley, produced by Ray Signorello of the esteemed Signorello Estate. This full-bodied wine offers a complex aromatic profile of dark red and black fruits, including cherries, black currant, and plum, complemented by notes of black licorice, mocha, and baking spices. On the palate, it presents a concentrated mouthfeel with flavors of black cherry and blackberry, supported by firm yet soft tannins and a lively acidity. Aged for 16 months in 40% new French oak, the wine has earned high scores from critics like James Suckling and Vinous, who praised its finesse and structure. The 2021 vintage, a result of a dry but cool growing season, produced a concentrated and well-structured wine that is delicious now and has excellent aging potential for the next 5-8 years.
