About This Wine

The Calling is a dark burgundy Cabernet Sauvignon of impressive depth is full-bodied and exudes a refined sophistication. Its complex nose offers alluring bramble fruit with subtle hints of sage and smoke, while the palate is enveloped in luscious notes of raspberry, forest floor, and tobacco. Hand-sorted and expertly crafted with native yeast fermentation and malolactic fermentation in barrel, this wine underwent an extended maceration period to soften its tannins. After aging for 22 months, it was bottled unfined and unfiltered. From the renowned Rio Lago Vineyard in Alexander Valley. Sitting above the valley floor with Russian River frontage and sheltered from coastal fogs by surrounding hillsides, this vineyard experiences just the right amount of warmth and cooling breezes to produce exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.
