Barboursville Prosecco DOC
From The Winemaker
Unlike Barboursville’s estate wines, Barboursville Prosecco is produced and bottled in the Veneto region of Italy.
Barboursville Vineyards was founded in 1976 by the Zonin family (Casa Vinicola Zonin), one of Italy’s oldest and largest historic wine families. To complement their Virginia estate wines, they import Prosecco DOC crafted by their parent family estate in Veneto and bottle/label it under the Barboursville Vineyards mark. The winery was recently divested by the Zonin family in 2025 but the prosecco continues to be produced.
Tasting Notes
Pale straw color with fine, persistent bubbles. It features aromas of green apple, white peach, honeysuckle, and citrus zest, finishing with a light hint of fresh almond typical of 100% Glera grapes. Wine critics (including Wine Enthusiast and James Suckling reviewing Zonin’s Prosecco DOC line) highlight it for its snappy acidity, clean fruit balance, and exceptional price-to-quality ratio.
A 5.99 signature verification fee is required for all wine shipments. This ensures delivery to an individual of legal drinking age.
Specific vintages are not guaranteed for wines under 25.00. If the year is important to your selection, please message us prior to purchase.
