About This Wine
This wine, also known as Clos La Coutale, is produced in the Cahors region of Southwest France and shares the same chateau, Chateau du Caillau (meaning "Chateau of the Rocks"), but is sold under a different label. The exclusive importer for the Clos La Coutale label is Kermit Lynch.
This wine has a deep and intense ruby color, with ripe fruit aromas on the nose. On the palate, it is round and smooth, with a seductive combination of fruit and matured tannins that give it a long-lasting and elegant finish. It pairs perfectly with sipping, as well as meat dishes, raw or cooked tuna, and firm cheeses.
