El término español "Las Alturas" significa "las alturas", un nombre apropiado para este viñedo ubicado en uno de los bancos de cultivo de uva más altos en el AVA de las Tierras Altas de Santa Lucía, hasta 1,200 pies. A esta altura, el clima soleado pero muy fresco crea un vino que tiene todas las características de esta región costera: robusto, expresivo, con cuerpo y equilibrado por una acidez firme. El producto final es de color granate intenso con una mezcla aromática de cereza negra, baya de marioneta, ciruela madura y un toque de anís.
