The G of Château Guiraud is a dry white wine, harvested at full maturity and aged for approximately 7 months in oak barrels from the previous year's Grand Cru. With a rich and assertive character, this exceptional wine is a blend of 50% sauvignon and 50% semillon, challenging the palate of both wine-lovers and seasoned wine-tasters alike. It is produced from vines of the Premier Grand Cru, certified BIO AB and harvested manually, sorted carefully, and matured in barrels used for the Sweet Grand Vin. This balanced blend offers a unique expression of the Sauternes terroir in its dry form. As Neal Martin describes the 2014 vintage, it is truly "how to do dry white Sauternes." This independent and pioneering estate, proud of its 1855 Premier Grand Cru Class designation, has consistently followed its own path throughout its history.
