About This Wine

Expertly located in the southern region, the small Gaminde vineyard spans 4 hectares and was established in 1942 with 100% Tempranillo grapes. Sitting at 1,600 ft elevation, the vines are planted close together, creating intense competition for the iron-rich, rocky soil's nutrients. The vines are hand-pruned and never irrigated, plowed by mule to ensure the highest quality grapes. Cluster-by-cluster and grape-by-grape, only the best are selected twice - once in the vineyard and again in the winery.

This premier Rioja, Gaminde, exudes elegance with intricate layers of red and black fruit, crushed rock, leather, toast, and tobacco. Its exceptional quality allows it to age gracefully in the cellar for many years to come.
