Situated among the neighboring hills, Red Mountain's south-facing slopes promote optimal grape ripening and the development of a rich, dark color. It is during fermentation that these sun-ripened skins unveil the luxurious textures and complex flavors within. Representing the essence of Red Mountain, Thick Skinned is a bold Bordeaux-style blend that epitomizes the region's exceptional qualities. Originating from Red Mountain, Yakima Valley, Columbia Valley, Washington.  Only 1,500 cases produced annually.  Owned by Banfi Vinters.  

Tasting Notes

This 2018 Red Mountain Red Blend is a complex wine with rich aromas of cocoa, sweet coconut, dark berry, vanilla, and cherry fruit. The palate reveals bright cherry flavors followed by chocolate and subtle hints of caramel and toast. Additionally, the firm and mouth-filling tannins add to the overall structure of this full-bodied wine.
