Bertani Amarone della Valpolicella stands as a benchmark for the Amarone style, crafted by one of the most historic and respected producers in the Veneto region. Founded in 1857, Bertani has remained family-owned and is renowned for its unwavering commitment to traditional methods, including meticulous grape selection and extended aging. The estate’s Amarone is distinguished by its use of naturally dried grapes and long maturation in large Slavonian oak casks, resulting in a wine of remarkable depth and elegance that consistently sets the standard for the category.
This refined red offers impressive length and harmony, maintaining freshness and precision even after a decade of aging at release. It is mineral-driven, with hints of iron and earthy loam supporting flavors of dried cherry, red currant, bitter herbs, cocoa, and charred orange peel. The focused finish is secured by fine, firm tannins and well-balanced spices. Composed of Corvina and Rondinella grapes. Ideal drinking window spans 2027 to 2040. Limited production of 5,000 cases, with 1,350 cases imported.
