The 2022 Blank Stare emanates a radiant pale gold hue with a mesmerizing glimmer reminiscent of jade. The first waft of aromatics fills the senses upon pouring - a blend of tart key lime, crisp Granny Smith apple, and nuances of tangy grapefruit, along with subtle hints of white pepper, frangipani, and a mineral undertone. Its palate boasts a refreshing entry with zesty lemon-lime, a touch of grapefruit, and a hint of guava. A delicate, yet vibrant finish of tropical mangosteen and lychee, balanced by youthful acidity, completes the experience. Blank Stare has always been a beloved wine at Orin Swift, and its return for the 2022 vintage is highly anticipated. As one of two Sauvignon Blancs in our collection, it stands in stark contrast to its sister, Veladora, which hails from the warmer Napa Valley. This allows Blank Stare to showcase brighter fruit flavors.
