Do you have moscato?
For a sweet wine, we recommend the Moscato d'Asti DOCG Nivole by Michele Chiarlo.
Do you have sweet red wine?
For a sweet red wine, we recommend Bartenura Piemonte Doc Brachetto Sweet Red. Sweet, lightly sparkling red from Piedmont, Italy, offering aromas of blueberry, raspberry, and strawberry with flavors of ripe plum and mixed berries. Refreshing, fruit-forward, and perfect for lovers of Italy’s vibrant, aromatic wines.
What’s the best Cali Cab that you sell right now?
While we sell so many great Cali Cabs, Quilt Cabernet Sauvignon is our top selling cabernet sauvignon.
Why is Cabernet Sauvignon tannic?
The American palate has massively rewarded tannic wines and this is not remiss on producers. Unfortunately, foods that are heavily processed lack flavor so it makes sense to pair a tannic wine with your grilled cheese.
Does vintage matter when it comes to wine?
If you are buying a wine over $25 and have tasted that vintage before then we would say to try to find the exact vintage that you enjoyed. If not most wines are produced to taste the same year after year, i.e. grocery store wines with retail exposure.
What if I really need a certain vintage?
If you require a certain vintage please make a note of that in your order because vintage transition is a regular occurrence and our website may not reflect the current vintage.
Are screw top wines inferior to traditional corks?
Technically, screw top corks are called Stelvin closures. Why? Stelvin is an artificial word that combines Stelcap (registered trademark for screw caps) and Vin. Specifcally, it is a special aluminum closure for wine bottles. They are actually better at preventing oxidation (keeping the air out) than traditional corkage.
Should I invest in a Durand corkscrew?
If you tend to drink vintage wines, ie wines that are really old and expensive, then it makes sense to invest in a Durand because they possess blades and a helix to mitigate the possibility of the cork disintegrating and ruining your bottle of Silver Oak.
What should I do if my wine arrives damaged?
Please take a couple of pictures and email (info@casewinelife.com) them to us within 24 hours of receipt and we will replace the broken bottles.
What happens if I order the wrong wine?
You can send it back to us within 5 days. If we send you the wrong wine then let us know within 24 hours and we will send you a return shipping label.
